Some of the plants in the Pine Barrens are: the Trident Red Maple, the Shortleaf Pine, the Pitch Pine, and the Grass Pink, and Mountain Laurel. If we don't save the Pine Barrens, we won't have wildlife, clean air, or be able to go camping, or canoeing. This ecosystem supports our society in so many ways, including the ones listed above. Many industries are supported by the Pine Barrens such as: paper plants, furniture companies, and many factories.
